About the Role

A vacancy has arisen for a full-time (37 hour), permanent Practice Manager to join two remaining Practice Managers in the Hastings & Rother Adult Social Care assessment and case management team (Integrated Locality Teams to be).

This post is based in Ocean House, St Leonards at the time of going to advert. However, given the current plan to integrate Adult Social Care and Community Health services by April 2018, this will change.  The service is currently managed jointly across the Hastings & Rother CCG area.

If you are the successful candidate for this challenging post  you will have demonstrated;

- Your commitment to the principles and practice of leading and managing  a multi-disciplinary, anti-discriminatory team;

- Your clear understanding and experience of duties enshrined in The Care Act (2014)  with particular (but not exclusive) emphasis on;

1. Safeguarding vulnerable adults;
2. Eligibility criteria for vulnerable adults and carers.
3. Reviews and reassessments;

- Your knowledge and understanding of ESCC’s Equal Opportunities policies and procedures in relation to recruitment.

- Your ability to collaborate with your managerial colleagues and introduce, monitor and maintain management systems relating to the efficiency and welfare of your team;

- Sound decision-making and leadership skills;

- Your understanding of the diverse needs of the vulnerable adults served by the team;

- Your understanding of the broader, political environment that is required to lead and support your team and its service.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad. 

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
