Colin Edgley, Operations Manager, Early Help Service

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and motivated individual for the post of Practice Manager – Parenting Work to join our Early Help Service Management Team. You will work closely with colleagues across the Management Team that manage Early Help Key Work Services to ensure your Team contributes to the wider aims of improving outcomes for all families requiring additional support and achieving the Councils TF2 target.

The post holder will lead a countywide approach to Parenting through the development of a Parenting Strategy and a Delivery Plan with clear measurable targets.

This work will build on existing parenting work that is being delivered across the county and will incorporate a range of different parenting interventions including Triple P, STOP and Incredible Years.

You should have experience in the area of parenting work or working with families in an Early Help environment. You should have a proven track record in working in partnership with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies and be able to motivate and lead a range of multi-agency partners to establish a common vision and achieve common goals.

Other essentials would be experience of supervising staff, management of budgets and ability to represent the Service in a range of environments.

The work will be outcome focused and you should be able to work under pressure to achieve clearly defined SMART targets.

Given the nature of this role,  flexible working is required and  meetings / delivery of training may be required outside of office hours.

The post is 18.5 hours per week [0.5FTE] and will be based at one of our hub offices in Lewes, Eastbourne or Hastings.

Additional Information

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
