Passionate about reducing isolation and improving lives?

Impetus is a Brighton & Hove-based charity providing befriending, advocacy and other support services to people who are isolated because of age, disability, poor mental or physical health. We help people make connections in their community, build their own skills, and improve their wellbeing. We have a small staff team and over 300 dedicated volunteers who provide over 11,000 hours of support in our city each year. Our staff and volunteers tell us they love that their role gives them the chance to make a difference to others.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to join our Neighbourhood Care Scheme. Thanks to new funding to develop befriending in Brighton and Hove, we are expanding our work into new areas of the city. This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the biggest and most successful befriending schemes in the country which was awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service this summer.

You will have a proven track record of recruiting and supporting volunteers and working with vulnerable client groups; developing, delivering and monitoring quality services; strong team working; and honest, respectful and sensitive communication with people from different backgrounds.
