A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Learner Support Worker to work in the heart of Brighton. Our client are a well established local charity who support children and young adults with Learning Disabilities.

We are recruiting Learner Support Workers to work in their fantastic college in Brighton, East Sussex. As a Learner Support Worker you will work under specific supervision and guidance from the Education and Therapy teams to support the teaching and learning activities of learners both in the college and out in the community.

The Learners you will be supporting have a range of complex needs and learning difficulties. The aim is to promote the inclusion of all learners ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to become as independent as possible. You must have a minimum grade C in GCSE English and Maths to be considered for this post.

You must also have knowledge and experience of working with young people with learning disabilities. You must also have a good level of basic IT as you will be required to keep records.

Good communication skills, practical skills and being able to work as part of a team are all essential. This position is to start in September 2015 and is term time only - 38 weeks a year. Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (40 hours a week).
