About the Role

The Joint Community Rehabilitation Service (JCR) is a community service provided by a team of nurses, support workers and therapists. It is a partnership between East Sussex County Council’s Adult Social Care and East Sussex Healthcare Trust. The aim of our service is to help people remain in their own homes and stay independent by providing them with a time-limited intensive community rehabilitation programme in their own home.

To help us meet the increasing demand for this rewarding service, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Manager who can work closely with the team and oversee the day to day activities of JCR in Lewes, under the direction of the Registered Manager.

Your duties will include

You will be part of the management team, supporting and deputising for the Manager.

Contribute to the objectives of the Service and demonstrate the ability to motivate and support staff

Manage and supervise staff including helping them with their development and training through our corporate programs

Regularly monitor the quality of our services to help us maintain the highest standards of care

Monitor staff training to keep them up to date with our scheduled training

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
