About the Role

Mayfield Preschool is looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on and self-motivated term-time manager.

Our friendly, committee-run village preschool is a thriving setting, which is registered for children aged 2-5, and would provide a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a fun, committed and supportive team.

You will ideally have EYP or EYTS qualifications, or equivalent, or this could be the perfect opportunity for an experienced deputy or supervisor, holding an NVQ3, looking for the next challenge. You must have a passion and energy for educating children, and be a friendly and compassionate team player.

The successful candidate will need:

-to ensure that all statutory and legal obligations are met

-to be responsible for providing a high quality of education, learning and care, deploying staff correctly to offer appropriate stimulation to children attending the setting

-to be a hands-on manager, leading and managing staff on a daily basis.

-to contribute to and maintain policies and procedures

-to ensure performance management systems are followed

-to ensure that the welfare and safety of the children is promoted and the environment is safe and purposeful

-to keep up-to-date records

-to have strong administrative, ICT and communication skills

-to liaise closely with parents/carers to maintain our excellent parent partnerships

-to have sound knowledge of the EYFS and how to implement it

-to complete a successful enhanced DBS

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
