About the Role

Would you like the opportunity to support vulnerable learners in Key stage 3 and 4 to reintegrate back to school?

An opportunity has arisen for a support worker in the Eastbourne and Hailsham area to work within ISEND Teaching and Learning Provision.

T&L Provision works with students unable to attend school for reasons of ill health, both physical and mental health and works in partnership with the student's school and medical professionals to deliver a personalised short term education package whilst the student cannot attend school. Students are supported in a variety of venues dependent on need, usually at home or at one of three teaching centres.

You will act as key worker for individual students and support T&L Provision teachers to deliver a personalised programme of study.  You will also support the development of student’s social and emotional skills through working with students individually and in groups, and support the setting up of an e-learning programme of study for individual students.

In addition, you will also support the reintegration of students back into full time education at school, so you should be sympathetic to the academic and pastoral needs of the students.

You must be prepared to attend training and follow a programme of continuing professional development (CPD).
