Financial Accountant: Treasury & Payroll

Salary £27.5k - £35k dependent on qualifications and experience

Temple Spa is a fast-growing, luxury Spa and skincare brand based in West Sussex. We develop award-winning products and treatments for the finest Spas and Hotels in the UK and abroad. You can find us in the first-class cabins on airlines, ships and luxury trains where Temple Spa is synonymous with well-being of the highest quality. We retail to consumers through a national network of direct sales consultants, on our website and in high-end retail outlets such as Harrods.

We are seeking an experienced and part-qualified Financial Accountant with specific experience in Treasury and Payroll. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work within a small established team and take responsibility for all aspects of incoming and outgoing funds. This will involve cash-flow forecasting and managing the payroll functions, including associated documentation and statutory returns. You will also provide a strong lead on both accounts payable and receivable, resolving queries as they arise and working closely with other members of the finance and operations team to ensure foreign and domestic cash demands are met. There will necessarily be a small HR and credit control component to this role.

A solid financial accounting background is vital to this varied role, and we will expect you to have experience of processing VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliation and year end accounting tasks, together with a sound knowledge of all relevant financial regulations and legislation.

You will need to be a meticulous and highly organised person, able to work undirected when necessary and plan your own workload. You will also need to be a team player, flexible and able to adapt to the needs of a rapidly changing environment. Experience in developing and documenting new processes and procedures will be an advantage.

Your personal qualities will be as important as your accounting skills and background. We pride ourselves on the integrity and sincerity of our staff and you will be no exception to this. Working in our friendly team you will share in our fun-loving, holistic philosophy, our can-do attitude and our willingness to go the extra mile for our customers and our colleagues.

Our beautiful and tranquil head office is situated on the outskirts of Littlehampton, with parking available on-site. Staff benefits include contributory pension & private healthcare (after a qualifying period), 22 days paid annual leave (increasing with length of service) and a generous staff discount on our products.
