About the Role
The Governors and Headteacher at Battle and Langton Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in our popular, friendly and supportive school.
The role entails working 1-1 and with small groups, supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties to access both the curriculum and the wider aspects of school life. The postholder will support children within our special needs pod and in the mainstream classroom setting.
The successful candidate should:
- have experience of working with children who display a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- have a calm, patient and friendly manner with children
- have the ability to use their own initiative and with the support of other school staff, be able to adapt according to each child's individual needs
- be flexible and learn quickly
- have a 'can-do' attitude and can display resilience within their role
- feel confident to manage behaviour effectively and seek advice when needed
The successful candidate will be required to participate in whole school activities and to support the Christian ethos of the school.
