About the Role

Following innovations and developments in our traded offer, the Educational Psychology Service in East Sussex are looking to employ a full time permanent educational psychologist to augment our well regarded team. This full time post will be working in the Hastings area and we would also welcome enquires from psychologists interested in working on a part-time basis.

If you are a creative educational psychologist who enjoys applying psychology to improve outcomes for children, young people/adults, their families and settings, in a range of environments, we would like to hear from you. We are particularly interested in educational psychologists who are not only committed to evidence based practice, but also seek to contribute to the development of the profession through the generation of practice-based evidence and through relevant research.

We are seeking Educational Psychologists who:

- Are committed to educational and social inclusion.

- Have a holistic perspective on the context in which educational psychology is applied.

- Enjoy working within a consultative model of service delivery.

- Have creative, problem-solving and flexible methods of applying psychology.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit.
