A Planning Officer is required to join the Council's busy Development Management Team for a period of 12 months. As a Planning Officer you will be responsible for managing a caseload of planning applications and related issues. You will make sure that the Council provides an effective and customer focused planning service for the public. Your key responsibilities will include: Processing planning applications; Managing and formulating responses to pre-application enquiries; Evaluation, negotiation and recommendation of applications; Briefing committees and Council members as well as representing the Council at appeals, hearings, public inquiries and court cases.
