About the Role

Lecturer in Humanities

Up to 34,291 per annum (Full time/Full year) We are seeking to appoint teachers of A-Level History, Sociology and/or Politics to join our Humanities team at our Lewes campus on a permanent basis. Posts available are up to full-time and will favour teachers with specialisms in more than one of these subjects. We welcome applications from candidates at any stage of their career, including newly qualified teachers, who can bring the right mix of energy, commitment and vision to an ambitious and supportive department that is making rapid progress in improving outcomes for our students. Last year the outcomes at A-Level for Sociology were ALPS 3 (Excellent) and our new second year History cohort are predicted to achieve ALPS 2 (Outstanding). Thus both our History and Sociology courses are in a very strong position from which to build and you will be expected to contribute to that growth. Politics is being reintroduced this year and so the successful candidate will have the exciting prospect of establishing the subject afresh.
