About the Role
Grangemead is a rolling respite and emergency service for adults with a Learning Disability. During the night shift there are currently 2 Support Coordinators Waking Night on duty.
The role will require you to support clients during the late evening and assisting clients to prepare to retire to bed. During the night some clients will require support. Therefore we are looking for someone who will enable clients on respite to have more control over their lives by using person centred approaches. It will also require you to be responsive to the needs and wishes for the clients on respite. During the night duty you may need to carry out personal care tasks. This needs to be carried out using sensitivity and respect. This role will require you to be able to work independently. We have two vacant nights to fill. Each waking night shift will be 10.5 hours long. Shift hours are 21:00 to 07:30 the following morning. The rota is a rolling rota over 6 weeks and includes weekend working. There is an enhancement payment for working weekends and an allowance for a waking night duty.
