About the Role

Enthusiastic Pre-School Practitioner required for Outstanding Pre-school:

The Committee of Newick Pre-school are currently looking to recruit a practitioner to work in this well established and successful village pre-school.

You must have current knowledge of Early Years and be able to keep pace with this continually evolving profession. You must also be able to act as a Key Person and complete required written records for your allocated children, support planning to follow the interests of the children while expanding their knowledge of the world around them.

Right in the heart of the Sussex village of Newick, we are very much part of the community, with many children moving to the village primary school. We are run by a committee of parents, both past and present. We are situated in The Old Reading Room and are a ‘pack away setting’, giving us a fresh start each day.

This role can be either a part time or a full time position and is term time only for 38 weeks a year. We are looking for a practitioner with experience at Level 3.  The hours are 8.50am to 3.10pm between Monday to Friday to be agreed on appointment for the role, although some extra hours will be required for committee meetings and fund raising too. The hourly rate starts from 7.80, depending on qualifications and experience.

All candidates will have to undergo rigorous suitability checks. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of offenders Act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
