About the Role

Beckley Peasmarsh Federation are looking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to work closely with the governing body and the leadership team.

Both Beckley & Peasmarsh are small rural Church of England Primary schools at the heart of the local community.

The Federation is looking to appoint someone with an  understanding of the work of a school and some knowledge of governing body procedures and legislation or willingness to be trained  to develop their knowledge. They must be organised, demonstrate initiative, maintain efficient record keeping systems and be self motivated and have the ability to work confidentially at all times.  A knowledge of safeguarding procedures and protocol is required. Meetings are held during the school day and in the evenings, the individual would be expected to be available to clerk on all occasions.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
