About the Role

The SABDEN Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is the largest SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) provision in the country. The opportunity for an ICT technician to join dynamic team has arisen.

Information technology plays a key role in the efficient delivery of education service with ICT now an integral part of all curriculum areas. The ICT technician will act as part of the larger team supporting ICT within the Academy. With multiple sites located across the county travel will be required. This is an opportunity to play a crucial part in maintaining and developing the future of our expanding ICT infrastructure.

Post: • Provide ICT Technician support to the staff and students of The SABDEN Multi Academy Trust • Support of the school’s IT systems, hardware and software • 30 hours a week during term-time only

Purpose: To support the ICT systems within the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust. The role represents an exciting opportunity to work within a constantly evolving department. The IT Technician works within the centralised department supporting IT users in the school in the best use of their applications and systems. Although the position this primarily based in the Hastings area, travel will be necessary due to the Academy having multiple sites located across the county. This is an opportunity to play a crucial part in maintaining and developing the future of our expanding IT infrastructure. This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009. 

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations. 

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
