About the Role

East Sussex Library and Information Service is recruiting for a Librarian. The Librarian will work across the county library service developing stock, engaging with the community and supporting teams in libraries.

It is an opportunity to be engaged in a range of tasks; acquiring and managing stock, selecting stock for schools, responding to customer enquiries, developing community projects. Librarians may manage staff and help the development teams through training and working on projects.

Librarians are expected to work regularly on Saturdays. They are based at Ropemaker Park, Hailsham but are expected to travel across the county to work in libraries and with communities.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
