About the Role

Are you ready to make a difference to children and young people’s lives in East Sussex?

Based in the beautiful county of East Sussex, the Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service commissions school improvement and training opportunities to a wide range of schools, academies, colleges and settings. We are seeking additional capacity to lead the effective transition to a school-led system that will deliver excellent outcomes across all schools and settings.

East Sussex County Council is currently recruiting for a School Performance Manager

The School Performance Manager will report on education performance, using local and national data to provide insightful analysis that can ensure resources are targeted effectively. They will play a central role in supporting the service and schools to assess performance, identify priorities for action and evaluate the impact of interventions. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who has been responsible for producing and analysing performance data within a school.

We will consider part-time/flexible working, job share applications or requests for secondment opportunities.

Additional Information

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
