About the Role

Are you looking for a rewarding Career in Adult Social Care?

Do you have what it takes to change lives?

Could you oversee and develop a team of staff?

Greenwood respite service currently has a vacancy for a Senior Support Worker.

As a Senior Support Worker you will have experience of working in the care sector with adults with learning disabilities. You will be responsible for the management of a team of staff and you will need to be motivated to drive the service forward by modelling good practice, monitoring performance and direct supervision of the staff.

You will work on a rolling shift pattern alongside your team.

You will receive excellent training opportunities, a thorough induction and supervision as part of our commitment to you.

The role will be full of variety , with no two days the same!

Greenwood is a countywide Respite Services for adults with a Learning Disability in Bexhill. Greenwood has  recently been refurbished to a high standard offering a hotel style service. Most of our bedrooms have en suite rooms and excellent facilities  for  our guests. We have interactive Sensory Equipment and the latest in Assistive Technology to enhance the experience of guests staying with us.

Our  service provides  a fun holiday experience for long and short respite stays where we promote life skills, independence, community activities and opportunities to meet with friends.

This rewarding role would require successful candidates to provide both emotional and physical support for people staying in respite services.

Here are two quotes from staff working at our services

“I changed my career to work with adults with learning disabilities and have never looked back. The new facilities we have mean a more positive and person centred service for our clients. I get great job satisfaction coming to work every day.”

“I was very impressed by Management spotting my potential and encouraging me to develop my skills and within a year, I progressed from a Support Co-ordinator to a Team Leader.”
