About the Role

Health & Wellbeing Programme Manager

Up to full time hours available (37 hours per week) – Based Newhaven with travel to Eastbourne and across East Sussex

Salary range: 34,981 - 40,180 per annum, pro rata - dependent on qualification, skill & experience

Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA), runs a range of projects and services which support the involvement of the communities we serve across East Sussex. We are expanding both geographically and in terms of the staff team responsible for the delivery of our services. This is an exciting time in our development as an organisation, and we are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team.

We are particularly interested if you have a love for and experience of developing and delivering a broad range of community based initiatives covering the overall Health & Wellbeing needs of communities.  

You will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of paid staff and volunteers; managing the services and day-to-day activities. You will be actively fundraising, sourcing and developing bids and tenders, managing existing funders & partners ensuring contracts are met and services sustained; bringing the message of healthy and inclusive communities to our service users and the communities we serve.

With responsibility for overseeing projects that focus on Healthy Lifestyles, Green and Open Spaces, Counselling and Community Kitchens, you will be an experienced people manager with a proven track record in fundraising. Excellent organisational, communication, financial and project management skills are a must. An interest in healthy living is vital so that your passion can feed into the important projects we provide.

Based in Newhaven with regular travel to Eastbourne and other delivery locations across East Sussex, being a car driver and owner is preferred. The post is subject to a DBS check.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
