About the Role

Following a recent restructure of Educational Psychology Services in East Sussex, we are looking to employ a full time permanent Senior Educational Psychologist to take the lead in managing service delivery and to further develop practice in our innovative and well regarded area teams. We are seeking Educational Psychologists with a minimum of three years practice.

This role will involve supervision and line management responsibility for a team of EPs across a geographical area. They will manage service delivery with a focus on early intervention and prevention, currently provided as part of the core offer to schools and other providers.

If you are a creative and experienced educational psychologist who enjoys applying psychology to improve outcomes for children, young people/adults, their families and settings, in a range of environments, we would like to hear from you. We are particularly interested in educational psychologists who are not only committed to evidence based practice, but also seek to contribute to the development of the profession through the generation of practice-based evidence and through relevant research.

We are seeking Educational Psychologists who:

- Have strong people management skills.

- Are committed to educational and social inclusion.

- Have a holistic perspective on the context in which educational psychology is applied.

- Have experience of working with a consultative model of service delivery.

- Have creative, problem-solving and flexible methods of applying psychology.

- Are committed to use of evaluative tools, and development of robust methods of quality assurance.

 East Sussex offers:

- A beautiful and varied environment, including coastal, rural and urban, with each presenting unique challenges and rewards.

- A strong, dedicated and motivated team.

- A good induction programme.

- Well structured, regular individual supervision, with additional access to peer and group supervision.

- Protected time for early intervention and project work.

- Flexible working arrangements.

Excellent benefits, including a generous travel allowance, lease cars, payment of HCPC fees, and a relocation package where appropriate.
