Social Workers (Children's Services) (CSD00612)

Please note this is a rolling advert that will close on 31 December 2017. The next selection event is due to take place in October, to be considered for this event please follow the closing date listed below.

Hours of work: up to 37 hours per week Working pattern: Full-time and Part-time

Timescales for our next selection events are as follows:

We are currently recruiting Social Workers to the following teams:

- Locality Services based in Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes (includes Duty and Assessment, Family Support and Youth Support)

- Children's Disability Service based in Eastbourne

- Looked After Children’s’ Team based in Lewes

- Adoption Team based in Eastbourne

You will need to be able to develop good relationships with children and families working in partnership with them to really make a difference.z88;Your practice must be evidence based, and you must be up to date on current theories and research. You should be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills.

Social Worker vacancies regularly arise in the following teams:

- Locality Services based in Eastbourne, St Leonards on Sea and Lewes (includes Duty and Assessment, Family Support and Youth Support Teams.) - Children's Disability Service based in Eastbourne. - Looked After Children's Teams based in St Leonards on Sea, Lewes and Hailsham.

Additional Information

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
