YMCA DOWNSLINK GROUP   Community & Volunteer Co-ordinator Crawley & Horsham 15 hours per week Fixed term contract for 1 year initially £24,720 per annum, pro-rated   We are recruiting a Community & Volunteer Co-ordinator to recruit, train and support adult volunteers from the local communities, to provide and support a range of activities in our housing projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that volunteers have a positive experience with YMCA DLG and provide a professional service in their roles.    You will recruit volunteers to deliver a range of group activities including drop-ins, and one to one work if relevant. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of current volunteers, as well the recruitment and training of new volunteers.    You will need to maintain monitoring systems to ensure the strategic development of the volunteering programme works towards departmental and team objectives and targets.   You must have experience of working with young people, and have an understanding of the issues and barriers which may be experienced by vulnerable young people in a supported housing setting. You will need to have experience in recruiting and supporting volunteers, and delivering training programmes. The role will involve organising, managing and prioritising your own workload with periods of minimal supervision.   YMCA DownsLink Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
