Brighton and Hove LGBT Switchboard is a charity supporting the LGBTQ community. We are currently looking for a LGBTQ Engagement Officer to continue our engagement of the LGBTQ community through our successful Health & Inclusion Project (HIP).
The aim of the work is to engage and consult with the LGBTQ community about issues relating to them and working with health and council services to influence and inform future policy and provision. The role provides a bridge between the local LGBTQ community and the Council, NHS and other services and primarily helps to identify and address inequalities with LGBTQ people.
The post is jointly funded by Brighton and Hove City Council and Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and is a post for 21 hours a week (over 3 days) until 31st March 2019 in the first instance and then subject to review (depending on funding) until March 2020. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, including some work outside office hours, as events sometimes take place in evenings and at weekends.
