Salary £40,000-50,000

Harvey John is working exclusively with a highly reputable and well-known Brighton based organisation on recruitment of a Management Accountant. This is a newly created role to add to their expanding finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director.

This role would suit an experienced Management Accountant who is well accustomed to having final responsibility for mgmt. accs production and commentary / analysis. This person will lead from the front and ensure reports are completed in an efficient timely manner with valuable insight. They will also be looking at better ways to utilise the accounts system across the department and extract further insightful information.

This client is open to this person either taking on managerial responsibilities for the part qualified Assistant Accountant or not, depending on their preference.

Overview of role:

Production of monthly management accounts scorecard

Producing financial models & reports across different areas of the business

Identification and development of new financial reports to aid in business decisions

Lead the annual budgeting process and be primary point of contact for budget holders

Performing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts

Processing month end journals and recharges

Assisting with year-end audit

End to end ownership of the subsidiary finance function

Submission of quarterly VAT returns

National Statistics returns

Support Head of Finance with key projects including cost saving initiatives, supplier rationalisation

Develop IT tools and drive systems improvements

Required:

Confident and experience Management Accountant well-accustomed to having final responsibility for the compilation of and commentary on company management reports

ACCA/CIMA latter stage studier or qualified

Excellent IT literacy including advanced Excel skills

A proactive and positive approach to work, always looking to drive improvements and add value

Excellent communication skills
