Business School

This role is funded by the European Union. Funding is fully secure until 31 September 2022.

The University of Chichester is a friendly, flexible and welcoming university based in West Sussex. This role will be located in our state-of-the-art, Tech Park in Bognor Regis. The university offers you a 37-hour working week; access to a range of training and development opportunities; discounted Gym membership; a generous Local Government Pension Scheme; 25 days’ holiday, Bank Holidays and University closure periods (e.g. between Christmas and the New Year).

The Business School is looking for a Project and Event Administrator to take responsibility for providing an efficient, effective and professional administrative support for the Business Hot House Project, with a particular focus on online and physical events (covid restrictions allowing). The Business Hot House Project is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and will provide business support across the Coast to Capital region. It will engage approximately 1000 businesses and 500 pre-start entrepreneurs as well as a number of stakeholders.

With the ability to prioritise and work under pressure, the postholder will have excellent communication skills, liaising with colleagues, stakeholders (including project beneficiaries) and delivery partners. You will work closely with the Business Hot House Project team, providing administrative support, maintaining and manipulating data and supporting the organisation of project events.

You will need to be a pro-active team member with a people focused approach, and able to work confidently with minimum supervision. The post is based at our Bognor Regis Campus (and at home if required under covid restrictions) but may require you to work at any centre where University business is conducted that is within reasonable distance of the campus base.

The University of Chichester embraces all forms of diversity and aspires to be a fully inclusive and representative employer and so we encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people.

Informal enquiries are welcomed by Gareth Sear via e-mail G.Sear@chi.ac.uk or telephone 01243 812041.

Closing Date: Sunday 25 April 2021 (at midnight) Interview Date: Thursday 06 May 2021
