Part-time: 0.7fte (25.9 hours per week). Salary range: 27,924 to 30,497 per annum pro-rata, 19,546 to 21,347 per annum.

With exceptional organisational skills and experience of working within events management, the Events and External Relations Officer will oversee and co-ordinate the University’s high profile internal and external corporate events relating to Graduation, Inaugural Lectures, Concerts, Alumni Reunions, Carol Services and other events as assigned. The role holder will also assist with the delivery of the major recruitment events, including Open Days and Applicant events.

The post holder will also develop and manage the University’s Alumni Strategy, including the production of effective and inspiring alumni communications such as newsletters, brochures and web-based activity and coordinate engagement and build relationships with key external partners, requiring excellent interpersonal strong written communication skills.

The role will involve attending out of office hours events and functions including working evenings and/or weekends, for which compensating time off will be provided.
