We are looking for an individual to be join our young people services for Stonepillow as a night support worker. We need someone who is inspiring and passionate about young people’s rights and building them a positive future as well as keeping them safe.

Stonepillow support and empower homeless and at-risk people to achieve sustainable independence and wellbeing. As the organisation grows, we are looking for someone to fill this new and exciting role. We want to engage the successful candidate into how we work in a trauma-informed approach and with kindness.

You will be working with 16+ Older Looked After Young People and Care Leavers that are in the care of West Sussex. You will be required to become familiar with legislation regarding young people in the care of local authority, and the robust safeguarding and health and safety requirements.

As a night worker you will be the front facing support for young people at night, ensuring the service provides a safe, caring, and welcoming environment to young people. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, who enjoys working as part of a team as well as independently. The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate, engage and inspire, including the initiative to be able to deal with challenging situations in a calm, kind and effective manner.

Previous experience of working within the homeless sector or similar setting is not required as this is an ideal opportunity to start your career in the sector in a role which is meaningful and highly skilled.

This role will be based in Chichester
