About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Property Orbis partnership.

We are looking for two Development Managers who will support the property investment strategy in line with the policies outlined in the Council’s Strategic Asset Management Plan, to actively engage in commercial and residential property development and investment schemes that support economic growth and provide revenue generating opportunities for the Council across Surrey and the South East.

Working closely with other team members you will identify and progress commercial and residential development and investment opportunities. Leading on any site assembly and the negotiation of commercial terms with development partners and any third parties, you will work with design consultants such as architects, engineers, agents, transport and planning consultants.

You will be responsible for leading multi disciplinary project teams ensuring developments are successfully completed on time and on budget.

You will support the governance and delivery mechanisms for the Council’s investment strategy, preparing high quality business cases for consideration by Cabinet and the Investment Advisory Board that satisfy internal approval mechanisms.

Knowledge and experience required

- Knowledge of commercial and residential development processes (and the associated agency and consultancy teams operating within that market). - Ability to undertake financial analysis and forecasting, including the use of proprietary software. - The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high level of initiative and strategic thinking coupled with a sound knowledge and experience in leading regeneration and development schemes. - RICS qualification or evidence of substantial equivalent experience.
