We are looking for an experienced Cook Supervisor to manage the school meals service at Woodlands Meed Primary School this is a special needs school. All meals are homemade and produced onsite using fresh ingredients.

This is a term time post with the need for flexible working to offer Inset day staff lunches, parent evening’s presentation and refreshments, early morning and after school catering when required.
You will be responsible for the supervision of 4 staff and the day to day management of the service. To include but not limited to;

•ordering and purchasing ingredients and supplies within budget.
•Ensuring the compliance of Health & Safety and Hygiene regulations.
•The preparation and cooking of meals to meet the School Food Standards.
•Managing the complex medically prescribed special diets to pupils and staff.
•Providing an excellent service which supports pupils with special needs to make healthy choices and supports life
skills.

You will be required to have experience in large scale catering service, staff supervision and managing budgets. A Food Safety Level 2 qualification and a NVQ level 3 in catering or equivalent experience. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required to ensure good relationships with stake holders such as pupils, school staff, parents and external customers.

This post is term time and overtime will be paid for the additional hours worked over the contracted 30 hours.
