This is an important role in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team, working behind the scenes to ensure effective processes are in place so that the SEND team is able to perform its duties efficiently and effectively to meet the requirements of the relevant Education Acts, SEN Code of Practice and other legislation. The successful candidate will manage one of the two SEND Casework Officer Teams (one focussing on pupils aged 0-13 years, the other on pupils aged 14-25 years) and deputise for the Head of SEN when required at local, regional and national SEN meetings to ensure the Team is represented. We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, experience in negotiation and service improvement. The team work to challenging deadlines and you will need to have a flexible approach, but will have a supportive team around you.
