Stanmer Organics is seeking a part-time PR/ADMINISTRATOR The successful candidate will have proven experience as an administrator, coordinator and PR with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   Rate of pay: £12.50 / hour, self-employed, 15 - 20 hours / month, commencing early June 2017   Stanmer Organics is a private limited company comprising 14 member projects that operate together as a cooperative. Stanmer Organics' is located in the North West corner of Stanmer Park, a wonderful site positioned on the slopes of the South Downs, overlooking meadows and the Great Woods. The 14 projects work individually in the areas of community services, food growing, natural arts and crafts, natural healing and therapy and sustainable development on this 17.5-acre site which is leased from the Brighton and Hove City Council. The cultivation and maintenance of the land is strictly governed by organic principles and according to the rules and certification of the Soil Association. Stanmer Organics Board of Directors is made up of one Director from each project.   Job Description This position is considered central to the smooth running of this exciting and dynamic company.   Responsibilities:   ? Administration - Responsibility for all Stanmer Organics administrative tasks ? Checking and responding to emails. ? Handling new plot applications. ? Communicating with Directors and external agencies as and when required by email and over the phone. ? Invoicing - preparing and sending out invoices to members. ? Notifying group members of SO disciplinary procedures. ? Ensuring that Soil Association membership, insurance and other annual expenses are current. ? PR - Coordinating group member activities and engaging the public through marketing using social media platforms and advertising. ? Accounting - Liaising with bookkeeper and reporting back to Directors. ? Banking - administering the company's online banking and providing monthly balance updates for Directors. ? Dropbox - Administering and updating the group records and documents in the shared Dropbox account. ? Out of Hours - Creating the agenda, attending and minuting of the monthly Director's meeting (First Tuesday of every month - 6.30 - 9.30pm)     Skills needed:   ? Strong organisational skills ? Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. ? Attention to detail ? The ability to plan your own work and work on your own initiative ? A pleasant confident telephone manner ? Reliability, honesty, tact and discretion ? Patience and good team working skills ? Competent in use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel. ? Competent in use of email and social media platforms. ? Competent in use of Internet banking. ? Familiarity with Dropbox and administering a Dropbox account   Basic bookkeeping and Wordpress web page content editing knowledge would be useful and experience in fund raising would be considered an advantage.   The applicant will need to have: ? Home computer or laptop with Microsoft Office Software and an up-to-date anti-virus programme. ? Printer/copier/scanner ? Broadband internet connection ? Mobile or landline and be prepared to have phone number used in correspondence. ? Postal address and be prepared to have this used for some postal correspondence.   The successful applicant will: ?
