Volunteer Coordinator

30 hours per week - variable shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays

1 year - Fixed Term Contract

Salary £20,391 to £26,052 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience)

We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced and motivated volunteer coordinator with the skills and abilities to support the smooth running of a range of services based in and around the In-Patient Unit.

Main duties will include:

• Day to day organisation and supervision of volunteer In-Patient Unit teams;
• Lead on recruitment, induction, training and support of the volunteer roles;
• Provide creative approaches for the engagement of volunteers;
• Management of relevant volunteer rotas and online calendars;
• Provide and support appropriate on-going and agreed training for In-Patient-Unit volunteers.

Key skills required:

·         Confidentiality, tact and diplomacy;

·         Excellent volunteer coordination skills and an understanding of the nature of volunteering;

·         Creativity, initiative, drive and enthusiasm to add value and contribute to improvement;

·         Ability to work calmly and react appropriately to constant changing work priorities;

·         Excellent computer literacy skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
