In this role you will be part of our friendly and forward thinking public health team and be responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of workplace wellbeing policies, practice and health promoting activities, both within the city council, in schools and in settings across various sectors in the city.    

You will also work collaboratively to really make a difference with a wide group of stakeholders to address key health and wellbeing issues, through developing, commissioning, facilitating and co-ordinating the delivery of health improving interventions in a range of city workplaces. 

You will be supporting these workplaces in the long- term implementation and maintenance of the Workplace Wellbeing Charter , NICE quality standards for workplaces and heath promoting activities.  This is to ensure that organisations have an on-going commitment and the ability to promote healthy lifestyles and address health issues.  You will be part of a small team who have developed innovative work on food / Sugar Smart, mental health and wellbeing and a public health schools programme. 

This full time post is permanent and you will be based between Bartholomew House and Hove Town Hall.  It also involves working out and about in the city within workplaces and schools.
