This position is for an accountancy firm that are going through very positive change. With a structural reorganisation underway, this is an opportunity to join in a firm in a brand new role, making it your own and designing it the way you want it to be.

Based on the outskirts of Brighton, with plenty of easy access parking and an open plan office, this is an independent, personable firm of a substantial size. With new clients calling in daily and year on year growth, this is certainly the time to join them.

The position in mind

Working for one of the partners, you will be the 'right hand man'. Dealing with clients and trusted to carry out a large amount of work yourself, you're far from micro managed! You'll be responsible for:

• Managing a team of juniors/seniors
• Reporting to and working closely with one Partner in particular
• Responsible for a varied workload, including accounts & tax for the Partner portfolio
• Involvement in staff training and development
• Business development and aiding the Partner in bringing in new clients

The person in mind

This role would suit someone technically strong, driven, dynamic and with excellent client relationship skills. Key desirables include:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with strong, recent, practice experience
• Previous experience managing juniors/seniors
• Experience working closely with clients
• Ready to hit the ground running and be a reliable member of staff that the Partner can rely on
• Ability to cross sell, promoting all the firm's service lines
• Dynamic and a real presence in the office
• Strong accounts and tax experience, knowledge of audit is desirable but not essential

Salary

The salary for this role is flexible because this is such a key hire for the firm. It is likely that you will start somewhere between £30-40k but this is expected to increase as your impact on the firm is felt!
