The number of job opportunities available in the UK is rising at a rapid pace, the fastest yet in fifteen years. Results from reports given to recruitment companies show that available job opportunities are at their highest level since before 2000.
The available job opportunities are spread across various industries, including engineering and nursing sectors. The number of permanent vacancies available has also risen to its highest level in over five years. These recent reports suggest the economic climate is looking positive and the future for job seekers is bright.
However, despite the growing number of job opportunities available, employers are finding it increasingly difficult to fill the positions with suitable candidates. With Christmas just around the corner, many vacancies are being advertised for temporary staff to help with the christmas rush.
Aside from these pop up temporary positions, recruitment tends to have a habit of slowing down around this time of year. However, the job market for the start of 2014 is looking positive should this reported growth continue.
Overall, the UK has some wider issues to face, for example what appears to be an underachieving educational system. At present, the UK’s job market seems to be improving, but for how long? Only time will tell.
