Plans have been announced for a wind farm project just off the south coast of Brighton. The project will see just over 115 wind turbines built around eight miles off the coast in-between Worthing and Peacehaven.
Local residents have voiced concerns over spoiling the beautiful and famous views of the coast lines from up on the South Downs.
The building plans are due to commence in early 2015, with the aim of creating enough energy for nearly 300, 00 homes.
Evidently, with the scale of the project, new jobs in Brighton will be created. It's expected that up to 300 staff will be employed to maintain the project. There will also be construction and operation jobs available whilst the project is being built.
Despite mixed opinions on the wind farm project, it will boost the local Brighton economy and will create a good number of jobs across Brighton for locals. Watch this space for further details in 2015.
